Dell's huge Labor Day sale is live: here are the 7 best laptop deals with up to $450 off
From super-cheap machines to high-end Alienware gaming laptops

The official Dell Store is usually a primo destination for laptop deals all year round, but this week the retailer has an excellent 'Cyber Sale' event coinciding with the wider Labor Day sales that's particularly good.
I've spotted discounts of up to $450 on some of our favorite models here at TechRadar, including the Dell XPS 13 and Dell 14 Plus. You'll find a list of the 8 best laptop deals at Dell today just down below.
Today's options start with this superbly cheap Dell 15 laptop for just $349 (was $499). Despite such a bargain-basement asking price, this machine still manages to feature a Ryzen 5 chipset and 16GB of RAM, making it a great choice if you just want a smooth (but cheap) laptop for the basics.
Similarly, you could consider this upgraded Dell 15 for $499.99 (was $749) if you need a little more power. With a Core i7 chipset and 1TB SSD, this machine is both powerful and spacious. It's another one of Dell's more basic models, but it really is unbeatable right now in terms of bang for the buck.
For more upmarket buys, check out the deals I've listed below for the Dell XPS 13 and Dell 14 Plus just below. I've also included some exceptional deals on the latest Alienware Aurora gaming laptops, which feature the lowest prices yet for machines with the new RTX 5060 and 5070 graphics cards.
The 7 best laptop deals at Dell today
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5-7530U
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB
If you're on a budget, you won't find a better cheap laptop than this 15-inch model at Dell today. The brand's laptops reach as low as $249, but it's worth spending a little more to secure this particular configuration. With a Ryzen 5 chipset and 16GB of RAM, this one is an extremely solid workhorse for the money and should last a few good years down the line. It's nothing fancy, sure, but it's more than enough if you just need a reliable Windows laptop to handle the basics.
Processor: Intel Core i7-1355U
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB
Another outstanding budget laptop from Dell, this time on a slightly upgraded 15-inch configuration. Inside, you're getting not just a Core i7 chipset here, but also a spacious 1TB SSD - meaning plenty of headroom in terms of storage. For $500, it's really hard to go wrong here, as this machine will still be able to handle even intensive applications like music production or large spreadsheets.
Processor: Snapdragon X Plus
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB
Need something portable with plenty of battery life? This Dell Inspiron 14 comes with a Snapdragon X chipset, meaning you'll get a machine capable of running all day on a single charge. It's pretty powerful, too, although note that Snapdragon laptops still have a few minor issues with compatibility, so you'll want to check all your favorite apps are supported before jumping on board.
Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 258V
RAM: 32GB
Storage: 1TB
The Dell 14 Plus is one of the best laptops that we've reviewed this year so far, so it's easy to recommend this outstanding price cut at Dell today. Alongside a reliable, quality build, you're also getting extremely competitive specs in the form of an Ultra 7 chipset and 32GB of RAM. This is another solid buy - at $799, it's really hard to go wrong here.
Processor: Intel Core Ultra 5 226V Series 2
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB
The Dell XPS 13 models are known for their stylish designs and unbeatable portability. They're also some of our favorite Windows laptops from the past few years. They don't come cheap, but you can get a really nice price cut on this entry-level Intel-based model at Dell today. While it's not as powerful as the Dell 14 Plus today, you're getting a more premium product here - and it should still cruise through most tasks. Note, if you'd prefer a Snapdragon-based model, then you can get a similar configuration for $819.99 (was $1,199) at Dell today.
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 5060
Processor: Intel Core Ultra 7 240H Series 2
RAM: 32GB
Storage: 1TB
Dell's Labor Day sale includes some very, very enticing deals on gaming laptops. Case in point - this Alienware 16 Aurora. This is one of the more budget-orientated machines from the brand, but you're still getting a powerful Ultra 7 chipset and a brand-new RTX 5060 graphics card. With $400 off, you're getting a really solid 1080p gaming machine here for the money.
Graphics card: GeForce RTX 5070
Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
RAM: 32GB
Storage: 1TB
Looking for something a little more powerful? My other favorite gaming laptop deal at Dell today is for this upgraded Aurora 16X. With an Ultra 9 and RTX 5070 graphics card, this one is all set for smooth frame rates at 1440p resolution for a few years. It's not cheap, but a $350 price cut definitely makes this a very competitive choice right now in the mid-range gaming laptop deals market.
