When I'm looking at purchasing a laptop, one of the first things I check is the battery performance. It's all well and good having the latest Intel technology and an ultra-bright display, but if it all drains the battery in super quick time, then that's no good at all.

Two laptops promising all-day battery life are the Dell XPS 14 and Dell XPS 13, both of which received a seriously impressive 4.5 stars in our testing. The XPS 14 promises a whopping 31 hours of battery life and can be snapped up for $2249.99.

If you'd like a little more portability and are happy with 17 hours of streaming performance, then the highly rated XPS 13 could be yours for just $699.99. This is also the thinnest and lightest XPS ever built and boasts a high-resolution 13.4-inch touch display. Read on for more details.
