JPEG images from the Panasonic FZ48 show consistent results for noise performance across the sensitivity range. From ISO 400 upwards only the Nikon Coolpix P500 show a better result.

This chart indicates that JPEGs from the Panasonic FZ48's have a lower dynamic range than all but the Fujifilm Finepix HS20's JPEGs up to a sensitivity of ISO 400. From ISO 400 results are comparable with the Sony HX100V and Nikon P500.
