New Apple Watch bands and styles ready for fall
Update: The Hermès bands are up for grabs now. Check out page 14 for more details on the luxury strap pricing and buying locations.
True to its mantra, "there's an Apple Watch for everyone," 19 designs have been added to an already large collection of 38 straps and cases.
Most of the cases will come in the 38mm and 42mm sizes, though a few will only be available in one size. For those hoping to pick up one of the cheaper Sport models, there are actually quite a few fresh designs to choose from now. However, Apple has axed older styles like the bright green Sport strap and the Stainless steel case with black sport band from its main Watch gallery.
Interestingly, if you head to the page where you can pick up just the straps, these colors are still available for purchase. They may be removed in time, though right now, you may be able to buy the bands.
In the meantime, these new Apple Watches designs are ripe for picking from the Apple website, Apple brick-and-mortar stores and, in the next few days, department stores.
On September 16, you'll also be able to download the free watchOS 2 update which brings a slew of new features that should make you feel like the Watch is a refreshed wearable.
Apple Watch Sport in Blue
There was already a blue band for the Watch but this updated version offers a silver aluminum case.
You can grab the Blue Sport Band for $349 (£299, AU$499) for the 38mm size and $399 (£339, AU$579) for the 42mm size.
Apple Watch Sport in Orange
In addition to the other bright hues, there's now an Orange Sport Band for the Apple Watch. It's priced the same as the previously mentioned Blue Sport Band: $349 (£299, AU$499) for the 38mm size and $399 (£339, AU$579) for the 42mm size.
Apple Watch Sport in Rose Gold with Stone Band
The new Rose Gold Aluminum case with Stone Sport Band is quite a lovely wearable to behold. However if you're looking for the 38mm case, you're out of luck. This option only comes in 42mm.
That means pricing on this baby's also set at $399 (£339, AU$579).
Apple Watch Sport in Rose Gold with Lavender Band
If you're eyeing the Rose Gold longingly but would prefer the 38mm, there's this option for you: a Rose Gold Aluminum case with Lavender Sport Band.
Plus it's cheaper too at $349 (£299, AU$499) since it's smaller.
Apple Watch Sport in Midnight Blue
Following the steps of the 42mm-only Rose Gold Aluminum Watch with Stone Sport Band, is the darker colored, but just as elegant, Gold Aluminum case Apple Watch Sport in Midnight Blue.
It's priced at $399 (£339, AU$579).
Apple Watch Sport in Antique White
To round out the new, rather large aluminum case collection is the Gold Aluminum case with Antique White Sport Band.
Similar to Rose Gold Lavender, the Antique only comes in size 38mm for $349 (£299, AU$499).
Apple Watch with (PRODUCT)RED Sport Band
The Stainless Steel collection has a few new Watches too. First off is one linked to an organization called (PRODUCT)RED that raises awareness and funds to help eliminate HIV/AIDS.
This Apple Watch has a Stainless Steel case with a (PRODUCT)RED Sport Band and comes in both sizes.
This wearable option is a bit pricier at $549 (£479, AU$799) and $599 (£519, AU$879) because it's Stainless Steel, but a portion of the proceeds from this specific Watch purchase will go to the Global Fund to fight AIDS.
Apple Watch in Space Black with Black Sport Band
This Apple Watch comes in a Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Black Sport Band. Both the 38mm and 42mm sizes are available at $549 (£479, AU$799) and $599 (£519, AU$879) respectively.
Apple Watch in Saddle Brown Classic Buckle
For $100 more, you can pick up the Stainless Steel case with Saddle Brown Classic Buckle strap. The 38mm will run you $649 (£559, AU$949) while the 42mm is $699 (£599, AU$1029).
Apple Watch in Black Classic Buckle
Brown not your style? There's a Stainless Steel case with Black Classic Buckle Apple Watch too that also comes in 38mm for $649 (£559, AU$949) and 42mm for $699 (£599, AU$1029).
Apple Watch Edition with Black Classic Buckle
Got the big bucks? Then here's another Apple Watch Edition style for you: a 42mm 18-Karat Yellow Gold case with Black Classic Buckle that'll run you a whopping $15,000 (£10,000, AU$21,000).
Apple Watch Edition Rose Gold in Midnight Blue
If you feel like spending $15,000 (£10,000, AU$21,000) on a different Watch, then the 42mm 18-Karat Rose Gold case with Midnight Blue Classic Buckle might be the one for you.
Apple Watch with Hermes strap
Apple's partnership with the luxury goods brand offers three Apple Watch Hermès variations you can choose from.
Pricing starts at $1,100 (£1,000, AU$1700) for the 38mm Stainless Steel case with the Single Tour strap, $1,150 (£1350, AU$1780) for the 42mm Stainless Steel case with the Single Tour strap.
It's upped to $1,250 (about £1100, AU$1950) for the 38mm Stainless Steel case with the Double Tour strap and $1,500 (about £1400, AU$2350) for the 42mm Stainless Steel case with the Cuff.
