Samsung's Gear S2 is one of the best wearables available right now, but if you're looking to buy one it may be worth waiting as Samsung is set to replace it by the end of the year with the next iteration.
Rumor is Samsung will announce the Gear S3 at IFA 2016 and then follow it up with a "super-luxury" limited edition version at Baselworld 2017 in March next year.
De Grisogno, the jeweler who made a luxury diamond-studded limited edition Gear S2 which was announced last month, is set to do make a premium version of the Gear S3.
An official from De Grisogno told The Korea Herald, "We are currently collaborating with Samsung to develop its next-generation smartwatch." The official also confirmed the Gear S3 will be ready for an IFA 2016 launch.
Samsung approached the Swiss jeweler directly to help the company into the ultra-luxury accessories market with a $15,000 limited edition Gear S2.
The current Gear S2 limited edition is selling out internationally, according to the De Grisogono representative so both companies are keen to recreate its success next year.
