As well as unveiling of its upcoming GPS fitness watches, TomTom also lifted the lid on TomTom Go today, its refreshed sat-nav device.
The sat nav is a complete redesign of what TomTom has done until now, but the company hopes the new gizmo will make for a more interactive experience by letting users zoom in and out of the map with a few easy touches.
As such, Go boasts some new features including Interactive Map and Lifetime TomTom Traffic, as well as 3D Maps, which TomTom claims will make sure drivers know exactly what's going on around them at all times.
Go, Tom, Go!
"We have rethought the way drivers use their sat navs," said TomTom's co-founder Corinne Vigeux at today's event. "We are quickly becoming the authority when it comes to traffic information."
TomTom Go comes in 4.5-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch versions, all of which give the option for users to receive their traffic information either via smartphone connection or Always Connected.
Up to four free maps can be downloaded a year which is good news, although there's no actual word on how much the thing will cost or when it will launch yet.
