Argos brings back its huge Big Red sale – save up to 50% on headphones, TVs, laptops, toys, and more
I've hand-picked the top ten deals from the bank holiday sale

With the bank holiday weekend just around the corner in the UK, Argos has launched another of its famous Big Red sales, featuring discounts of up to 50% across a vast range of tech, appliances, homewares, toys, and more. Here's how the unique event works and my picks for the best deals I'd shop this weekend.

So, instead of showing the deal prices upfront, the Argos Big Red sale has several discount codes that you apply to specific products to get a saving. These are 'RED10' for 10% off, 'RED20' for 20% off, 'RED30' for 30% off, and – all together now – 'RED50' for 50% off.
For example, you can get this Oral-B Vitality Pro Electric Toothbrush for £19 (was £38) when using the code 'RED50' at the checkout. That's a super-low price for a basic but more-than-capable electric toothbrush that offers a much better cleaning experience compared to a manual one.
A few other standout deals I've spotted include this Blink Video Doorbell for £24.99 (was £49.99) with the code 'RED50', these Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Wireless Headphones for £135.20 (was £169) with the code 'RED20', and the Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer for £183.99 (was £229.99) when using the code 'RED20'.
If you want to have a browse through the sale for yourself, just keep an eye out for the red banners at the top of each product page that show which voucher code you can use to get a discount.
There are thousands of items included in the sale, featuring many major brands such as Samsung, LG, Shark, Oral-B, Dyson, Lenovo, Tefal and Bosch. I've included an overview of all the biggest categories you can shop at Argos below, as well as a small selection of the top deals I recommend.
The Argos Big Red sale is live until August 26.

Argos Big Red Sale - my top 10 picks
Don't be lulled into spending hundreds of pounds on an electric toothbrush (unless you really want to) as this super-cheap option from Oral-B does the job just fine. It doesn't boast many impressive high-end features, but it has the basic ones you actually need to brush your teeth effectively and efficiently, including a two-minute timer and a lengthy 10-day battery life.
This is a record-low price for the top-rated Blink Video Doorbell and even cheaper than the offer I saw on Prime Day. The Blink Video Doorbell is a cheap and easy way to get alerts to your phone when motion is detected or when guests are at your door. It features infrared night video, long-lasting battery life, compatibility with other smart devices and displays, and two-way audio to speak to visitors. A version with the handy Sync Module included is just £5 more, too.
We love the Dyson V8. Not only is it our pick for one of the top cheap vacuums, but it's also one of the best Dyson vacuums – period. It's a little older now, but this is still a more-than-capable vacuum and also comes with all the essential attachments you need to clean around the home. Given its age and basic features, it's a struggle to recommend it at its full price, but at this lowest-ever price on Argos, it's an easy recommendation.
Ninja's recent space-saving air fryer is down to a good price outside of Black Friday, so now's the time to buy the popular and well-rated appliance – especially if you have minimal space on your countertop. We loved it at TechRadar, scoring it full marks in our Ninja Double Stack Air Fryer review and even putting it in our best air fryer buying guide. Well-built and great-looking in any kitchen, it offers five cooking levels across two drawers and two racks, while the 7.6L capacity is ideal for medium to big families.
The Sony WH-1000MX4 are older now, but they are still some of the best over-ear headphones ever. These wireless Sony cans package together top-notch audio, excellent comfort, and effective noise cancellation all at a reasonable price point that's at least £100 less than the newer Sony XM5 and XM6, which are only a minor upgrade. We still rate these as the best headphones for most people because you can find them at a price like this during sales events.
Here's a super-cheap Lenovo tablet deal in the Argos Big Red sale. It's not the most powerful slate we've ever seen, but if you just need an affordable device for everyday jobs, watching videos and light use, this will be up to the task. The fact that you get a good-sized 11-inch 2.5K display, a reasonable 128GB of storage and a Lenovo Tab Pen all included make this impressive value for money overall.
The latest version of the Shokz OpenRun Pro is an impressive pair of bone conduction headphones – and you can get them for less thanks to the Argos Big Red sale. Their all-purpose functionality means that they are suitable for both running and stationary activities, packing a battery life of 12 hours on a full charge. This means that if you enjoy longer training sessions, then they will last the duration of your workout, as well as doing justice to bass-heavy music.
The iO range is usually a more expensive option in Oral-B's range of electric toothbrushes, but this is a decent deal on the entry-level option. It doesn't boast many high-end features, but it has the basic ones you really need to brush your teeth effectively and efficiently, including a two-minute timer and a visible pressure sensor.
This is a solid discount on the latest Kindle Colorsoft in the Argos Big Red sale. As Amazon's first and only colored Kindle, it's a must-have if you love reading travel guides, graphic novels, and other genres with a lot of images and photographs. Or, if you just like showing off your book collection in all its colourful glory. It's USB-C and wireless charging compatible, lasting up to 8 weeks on a full battery.
Here's a good price for earbuds with active noise cancellation. The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 also offer 24-bit studio-quality sound with adaptive EQ controlled by Galaxy AI. The battery life could be a little better at five hours – or an extra 19 hours through the charging case – but its useful features, right down to being able to translate languages in real-time, prove super useful.
