It's great that valve audio equipment continues to be produced and at attractive prices, too. Pro-Ject is to be commended on managing to squeeze a couple of small-signal valves (12AX7, since you ask) into its delightful 'Box Series' and on keeping things affordable at the same time.

This isn't a pure valve amplifier, though, as op-amps assist along the way and, in fact, most of the non-valve parts are modern surface-mounted types.
