The best listening experience blends comfort and style with top quality audio and the latest active noise cancellation (ANC) technology. That’s why the Huawei FreeBuds 4 might be your new favourite earbuds for round-the-clock sound – whether you’re unwinding with calming music at home, taking a call at work or listening to a high-energy playlist as you work out.

These latest Bluetooth buds from Huawei combine the freedom of true wireless with best-in-class noise cancelling, a design that makes comfort a top priority, dual mics to deliver excellent call clarity and a bunch of connectivity features for seamless listening when you’re on the go.

That’s everything you need from a pair of earbuds rolled into one package, making them perfect for all-day wear and an essential piece of tech kit for anyone who wants high-quality sound but doesn’t want to compromise on other features.

ANC and high resolution sound

The Huawei FreeBuds 4 allow you to listen to music, calls, podcasts or audiobooks in peace thanks to ANC tech. This blocks out any sounds around you (think loud colleagues, crying babies, traffic) and makes the earbuds ideal for commuting, busy workspaces or whenever you want to focus, relax and forget about the world for a while.

This improved noise cancellation is delivered by a dual-microphone design, which means it can detect the noise going on around you and then adjust the sound accordingly. Excitingly, they’re the first earbuds that combine an open-fit design – which means they’re worn outside your ear canals – with this kind of dual-microphone noise cancellation tech.

As well as top quality noise cancellation, the FreeBuds 4 bring you excellent sound. That’s because there’s a frequency range of up to 40kHz, which is what serves up high-resolution audio. There’s also a 14.3mm dynamic driver baked into these buds, as well as an upgraded bass enhancement engine, bass tube and motherboard, which all combine to produce impressive bass sounds.

Air-like comfort

What sets the Huawei FreeBuds 4 apart from other earbuds you may have had in the past is their open-fit design. What this means is there are no silicon tips that you need to squeeze into your ear canals. Instead, the FreeBuds 4 sit at the entrance to your ear canals, still ensuring great sound but with a much more comfortable fit that’ll suit all kinds of ears.

Huawei has put a lot of time and energy into ensuring the FreeBuds 4 are as comfortable as possible. The company has analysed more than 10,000 different pairs of ears to figure out the best possible fit for everyone. So not only do they feel good when you’re wearing them, but you can listen to the FreeBuds 4 for hours and hours.

But just because these buds are comfy doesn’t mean Huawei has cut corners on style. The design of the FreeBuds 4 is round, sleek and simple. You can also choose two different colour options, either Ceramic White or Silver Frost.

These earbuds feel like they’re customised specially to your ears, but the advanced tech inside also makes them sound like they’re built for you too. This is thanks to something called Adaptive Ear Matching (AEM). This means that (when noise cancellation is switched on) the earbuds can automatically detect the shape of your ear and determine the perfect amount of noise cancellation for you. This is great news if you’re always on the move and don’t have time to mess around with settings or optimising your devices – the Huawei FreeBuds 4 do all the hard work for you.

Easy listening

Because the Huawei FreeBuds 4 are created with all-day wear in mind, some great connectivity features make moving from your home to your office or taking a call to listening to a podcast really seamless.

The first is that you can connect two active devices simultaneously. This is great if you’re working and need to switch between listening to business-related videos and conference calls on your laptop and relaxing with a TikTok break and a podcast on your phone. If you get a call, whatever you’re listening to is automatically paused, and you’re seamlessly switched to the device the incoming call is coming from.

The second is the FreeBuds 4 will remember the last ten devices you’ve connected to and effortlessly sync up with them again, thanks to the Huawei AI Life application. This means the end of wasting time reconnecting to your buds in Bluetooth settings on one device and faffing around forgetting them on another.

While we’re on the topic of time-wasting, the battery life of the Huawei FreeBuds 4 is great, which means no worrying about charging them when you’re on the move. If you have the noise cancellation feature turned off, you’ll get 4 hours of listening. With the charging case, you’ll get 22 hours of listening. If noise cancellation is on, you’ll get 2.5 hours – but keep your charging case with you, and you’ll get another full charge after just 15 minutes, thanks to quick charge technology.

At only 21.2mm and weighing 38g, the charging case is easy to carry with you throughout the day – and well worth it, considering how fast it is to juice up your buds.

If you’re looking for the perfect pair of earbuds but always feel like you have to settle, the Huawei FreeBuds 4 are the answer. These multi-purpose buds bring you a comfy, customised feel and sound, excellent noise cancellation and stress-free connectivity that’s a must-have for commuting, working out, relaxing and getting stuff done.
