  • L50s Pro Ultra: 30,000Pa of power with self-cleaning mop
  • L50 Ultra AE: almost as powerful, even more affordable
  • Priced from £549

We've been very impressed by Dreame's vacuums, which include stick, cordless and robot models; they deliver a lot of power for the price and we've been particularly impressed by the robot models. And now there's a new duo of robo-vacs that, according to Dreame, deliver flagship performance without the price tag.

The pick of the pair is the Dreame L50s Pro Ultra, which is designed for homes with pets and homes that have complex layouts. It delivers 30,000Pa suction, and its detangling 'DuoBrush' removes tangled hair and pet fur strands up to 30cm long. It's a dual-brush system that combines one bristled rubber brush with a TPU rubber brush to deliver effective dust and debris pickup across different floor surfaces.

Dreame L50 Ultra AE and Dreame L50s Pro Ultra: pricing and availability

The L50s Pro Ultra mops as well as vacuums, and features Dreame's ThermoHub self-cleaner. That uses water heated to 100C to deep-clean the mop pads, removing even difficult residues. Its dual arms extend to reach into corners and around furniture, and there's an extendable side brush for better corner coverage. The mop can extend up to 4cm for 99% edge coverage, and the side brush automatically lifts during mopping so the brush doesn't get wet.

If you've ever despaired at some robots' inability to overcome obstacles you'll appreciate the upgraded EasyLeap system here. It positions claw-shaped climbers in front of the wheels, enabling the L50s to overcome obstacles of up to 4cm high. So it shouldn't get stuck moving from room to room or surface to surface.

The second robot vacuum is the Dreame L50 Ultra AE, which upgrades the L40 Ultra AE by boosting the suction power from 19,000Pa to 28,000Pa. There's a self-cleaning mop with temperatures from 75-100C, an anti-tangle TriCut brush, and the same dual flex arm system as in the Pro Ultra.

We reviewed the Dreame L40 Ultra back in 2024 and rated it highly: we gave it four and a half stars out of five, praising its obstacle avoidance, excellent mapping and handling of pet and human hair. The new L50 Ultra AE is significantly more powerful, but comes in significantly cheaper too.

Both of these models are priced very competitively. The L50 Ultra AE has a recommended retail prices of £549, while the L50s Pro Ultra has an RRP of £650.
