The best Samsung Galaxy A71 deals in September 2021

Samsung Galaxy A71 deals sit somewhere in the middle of Samsung's range. Not as powerful as the latest S or Note devices but with a bit more oomph than some of the cheaper A handsets.

With an RRP of £419, the Galaxy A71 is pretty affordable compared to other handsets from Samsung and yet, it fits in a big colourful display, huge battery and a pretty premium camera experience.

Of course, it's not going to compete with Samsung Galaxy S21 deals and the Exynos 2100 processor or Samsung's 2021 flashy designs but for most, this will be an ideal set up.

Inside, the A71 features a 4500mAh battery, a 6GB RAM processor and a 6.7-inch AMOLED+ display. Despite its more affordable price tag, the A71 also comes with a quad camera display - a surprise for a mid-range handset.

Those specs combined with the fact that Samsung Galaxy A71 deals have seen significant cuts in price thanks to its age means this is actually the perfect time to invest in this handset.

Below we've broken down everything you need to know about A71 contracts and plans with all of the cheapest prices.

Samsung Galaxy A71 deals: how to trade in your old phone

Yes, Samsung has pulled out some seriously expensive devices here. With that in mind, you'll want to find techniques to reduce the costs. The most obvious of which is probably trading in your phone and luckily there is a number of sites that help do this.

One of the most popular ones is Sellmymobile. It compares different recycling sites, listing their TrustPilot scores, how long it will take for you to get paid, how you send your phone and of course, how much you'll get.

In terms of what you can earn, taking the Samsung Galaxy S8 as an example, you can get up to £126 for a working device or £32 for a completely broken device. Or if you have an iPhone 8, you could earn up to £183.

Samsung Galaxy A71 deals: SIM-free

With a price on launch of £419, the Samsung Galaxy A71 is one of Samsung's more affordable phones. In fact, it sits just about more on the budget side, leaning into mid-range.

We're now starting to see the occasional retailer bring the price down further, with plans nearing the £300 mark.

Samsung Galaxy A71 deals: FAQ

When should I buy Samsung Galaxy A71 deals?

While you can buy this phone at any time, there is a few times of the year where prices do seem to come down:

- Black Friday:
Ah Black Friday. This is the time of the year where we would suggest getting a new phone. You often see phones coming down in price during Black Friday phone deals and if you can wait, we would suggest getting the A71 then.

- Amazon Prime Day;
Amazon Prime Day isn't the event you would normally expect to grab a phone in but this exclusive saving event now often offers phones. While the chances are low of the A71 appearing in Amazon Prime Day, if it does you could get a massive SIM-free saving.

- Anytime of the year:
We know, not very helpful...however, this is true. Many retailers will simply decide to throw out a market-leading deal randomly throughout the year. The best thing you can do is keep an eye throughout the year and catch it when its at a price that perfectly hits what you were looking for.

What other cheap Samsung phones are there?

The A71 is great but it is well worth noting that Samsung has a host of affordable devices. The key standouts are:

Samsung Galaxy S10e deals:
The original cheap Samsung device...Well, at leas the original from Samsung's modern range! This device took the excellent features of the S10 and cut down both the price and size. This is one of the smallest phones Samsung has done in a long time but for the price, it's certainly one of the best.

However, S10e deals have slowly began dropping off with a number of retailers no longer stocking it. While it is still an excellent option, it isn't as widely available anymore and you might find it lacking in good prices.

Samsung Galaxy A51 deals:
The A51 is quite literally the A71 but tuned down. It offers an amazingly low price while still hitting a lot of top specs you'd look for in a phone, making it the perfect budget option for many.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite deals:
Samsung did something strange in 2020. Along with launching the new S20 range, it also provided a collection of Lite devices, providing cheaper versions of its most popular devices. This takes what is great about the S10 and makes it cheaper. While that sounds like the is different, we promise!

Is it worth going SIM-free on the Galaxy A71?

It's an affordable handset but if you can afford to buy it SIM-free and throw in a cheap SIM only deal alongside, Samsung Galaxy A71 deals could be even cheaper.

SIM-free, the device comes with an RRP of £419 but we've already seen a number of retailers drop lower than that. You can see the best offers at the top of this page.

Should I choose the A71 or Samsung's A51?

Samsung has a cheaper, smaller device similar to the A71 known as the A51. In essence, they have the exact same design with the A51 just dropping the screen size and offering some weaker specs.

Samsung Galaxy A51 deals aren't hugely cheaper but they are enough to be able to secure a far higher data package for your money. However, unless you are really on a budget, we'd still suggest going for the A71.

While it is pricier, it isn't by much and the upgrades in specs are well worth your time. Even just the slightly more powerful processor and the higher quality screen will be noticeable changes.
