What is Micro RGB?
Micro RGB is a new display technology paradigm that goes far beyond the backlighting techniques that have been used for generations. Consider that your current TV uses a white backlight which is filtered through a color filter to achieve reds, greens, and blues (amongst other colors, naturally).
Micro RGB changes things by using tiny, individual LEDs that are, as the name suggests, red, green, and blue.2 These backlights work together to produce color, and because they’re micro-sized, there are thousands more dimming zones than you’d find on conventional LED models.
