If you've been thinking about picking up the Galaxy Z Fold 8, now's the time to make your move. Samsung's preorder offers are set to end in just three days, which means there's only a short window left to lock in some of the best launch discounts.
Right now, the company is still offering either up to $1,200 off with an eligible trade-in or an instant $200 discount upfront — an unusually generous set of incentives from the official store.
Samsung does roll out better promotions from time to time, but the biggest savings typically don't arrive until a few months after launch. Offering a $200 price cut straight out the gates is extremely rare. In fact, I can't recall a similar scenario with all the previous launches I've covered (and that's a lot, to say the least).
One of the biggest advantages of Samsung's promotion is its flexibility. The offer applies to both unlocked and carrier models, giving you the freedom to choose the option that suits you best.
If you'd rather pair your phone with a lower-cost prepaid plan or switch networks later, an unlocked model makes that easy. Thanks to Samsung's preorder savings, you don't have to commit to a long-term carrier contract to get a substantial discount.
Preorder a Galaxy Fold 8 or Fold 8 Ultra at Samsung
If you're looking at picking up a device at Samsung, one thing worth checking out is the exclusive colors that you can only get at the official store. A Pistachio Green option is available on the Fold 8, while the Ultra gets a Green Shadow option. Personally, I'd be tempted to go for the exclusive colours because I find the other shades a little boring and safe.
Demand for these devices has been quite strong, so some devices won't be delivered until August 10. The official release date for the Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra is technically August 7, but that immediate stock sold out pretty quickly. Remember, though, that the preorder window is the same, so you've only got three days to decide whether to upgrade.
