PSA: T-Mobile's huge iPhone 18 Pro deal could end tomorrow — here's how to save up to $1,200
Preorders end tomorrow for the Pro and Pro Max
Just a PSA to any prospective upgraders out there. The initial pre-order window for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max ends tomorrow, so there may not be much time left to secure what's likely to be one of the best deals we'll see in a while.
The deal in question is T-Mobile's opening promotion, which allows upgraders and new customers alike the chance to get up to $1,200 off either device.
Firstly, new customers can bring their number over to a new plan on the carrier's Experience Beyond plan to get an iPhone 18 Pro included. This particular promo doesn't require the usual trade-in criteria, which is rare for a deal of this type.
Existing customers can trade in for a similar rebate of up to $1,200 on the Experience Beyond plan, which is a decent upgrade deal in itself. It's again enough to cover the entire cost of the iPhone 18 Pro - or make the Pro Max significantly cheaper.
T-Mobile's iPhone 18 Pro preorder deal is still live
iPhone 18 Pro: included with a new line, or with an eligible trade-in at T-Mobile
T-Mobile's opening iPhone 18 Pro deal is exactly what I was expecting; it's a very competitive deal indeed. Firstly, new customers can get a standard iPhone 18 Pro included if they switch over from another carrier and pick up a device on the Experience Beyond 2.0 plan. The other option at the carrier is a trade-in rebate of up to $1,200 off, which is a good option for upgraders. That's also eligible on the Experience Beyond plan, but according to the T&Cs, it's also eligible for existing customers on the older Go5G Next plan too.
It's hard to say for certain whether this particular set of promotions will vanish tomorrow (once preorders end) or not, as T-Mobile has a habit of posting these kinds of deals throughout the year. In general, however, the preorders window does tend to have the best deals you'll find for a few months on the latest iPhones.
In my experience, once the devices have been unveiled in the usual September time period, we usually have to wait until Black Friday in November for deals of similar quality to those during the initial preorders phase. I could be wrong, but I would recommend going for a preorder if you'd prefer to play it safe.
