Dell launches new Alienware X14 and M15 R7 gaming laptops in India

Dell today launched the latest additions to the Alienware gaming laptops in India. The company announced the Alienware X14 and M15 R7 priced at Rs 1,69,990 and Rs 1,64,990 respectively. Both of the laptops are equipped with the latest 12th generation Intel Core H-series processors and Nvidia’s 30-series GPUs.

Both laptops feature the company’s Cryo-Tech cooling technology that comes with 5 power modes depending on the usage. These include Full Speed, Performance, Balanced, Battery Saver and Quiet mode. Alienware’s Command Centre application allows you to switch between these modes and also customize the RGB lights for the laptops. Dell had also recently launched the X15 R2 and X17 R2 gaming laptops too.

Alienware X14 and M15 pricing and availability

The Alienware X14 is available in Lunar Light at a starting price of Rs 1,69,990 for the base variant with the 12th generation Intel Core i5, with 16GB RAM, 256GB of SSD storage and Nvidia’s RTX 3050 GPU.

The Alienware M15 R7 is available in the Dark Side of the Moon colour option with base configurations of the latest 12th generation Intel Core i7 with 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD storage and an RTX 3050 Ti GPU with a 15-inch 165Hz FullHD display at a starting price of Rs 1,64,990. The laptops will go on sale on Dell’s online store as well as their partner reseller stores.

Alienware X14 specifications

The Alienware X14 laptop comes with a 14-inch FullHD display with a high refresh rate of 144Hz which makes it compatible with most games. The company has also redesigned the hinges of the display to ensure that the display merges seamlessly with the rest of the chassis making it one of the thinnest laptops that Alienware has in its lineup.

The laptop can be had with a choice of 12th generation Intel Core i5 12500H and i7 12700H chipsets with either 16GB or 32GB of dual-channel RAM. The base variant of the Alienware X14 comes with 256GB of storage PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, but you can choose between 512GB, 1TB and 2TB configurations too. The laptop also comes with an 80 WHr Lithium-Ion battery pack with a 130W Type-C GaN power adapter.

The Alienware X14 comes with a choice of Nvidia’s RTX 3050, RTX 3050 Ti or RTX 3060 6GB VRAM which makes it great for gaming at 1080p resolutions at high settings and also supports the Adaptive GSYNC for a smooth gaming experience. The laptop also comes preloaded with either Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro.

In terms of connectivity options, the laptop has an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, a microSD card slot, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port for charging and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Alienware M15 specifications

 Alienware’s M15 comes in a 15-inch display with either a FullHD or QHD resolution with varying refresh rates with different models. When it comes to storage too, Dell offers you an option of either single storage or dual NVMe SSD options up to 4TB of storage (this is configured with two 2GB NVMe SSDs).

When compared to the Alienware 14, the M15 is capable of supporting an Nvidia RTX 3500 Ti on the base variant but can be configured to support RTX 3080 Ti to make a powerful gaming laptop. The laptop comes with a 56 WHr battery pack with a 150W power adapter as well as an 86 WHr battery with a 240W GaN adapter on the premium version.
