Gaming is getting more and more expensive in recent times, but there are some rays of hope for enthusiasts. RAM may be extortionate, GPUs might be pricey, but you can at least get an excellent gaming monitor without completely breaking the bank these days.
Right now, for example, you can pick up the excellent Gigabyte GS27QA for just $159 (was $249) at Newegg. The retailer has a huge 'Super Dad Super Savings' sale going on right now, and this listing is a particular highlight.
The GS27QA is a great value considering it's a 27-inch 1440p monitor with an IPS panel, 180Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time. I remember paying well over $300 for my own 27-inch monitor with similar specs a few years ago. For $150, this one is definitely worth checking out.
It's not a model that we've personally tested here at TechRadar, but we have been really impressed by Gigabyte's budget offerings. The Gigabyte GS34WQC, for example, is a similarly priced model that we thought was great value. The GS27QA, by comparison, is a slightly higher-end option with an IPS panel, but it is smaller and features a flat screen rather than a curved one like the GS34WQC.

Newegg's current Super Dad Super Savings sale almost feels like an anti-Amazon Prime Day event, knowing that the retailer's rival sale is set to take place next week. Right now, there are discounts on everything from peripherals to pre-made gaming PCs with the latest graphics cards, which could be a perfect pairing with a 1440p monitor like the Gigabyte GS27QA.
Note that some listings are also covered by a 'FantasTech' price guarantee. According to this page, the retailer will price match any further discounts through to June 28th, which is very handy indeed with all the various sales going live next week.
