Want to use Spotify to improve your wellbeing? These are 3 features I use to get me through the day
Boost workouts, sleep, and more

Health and wellbeing isn't just about workouts and how far you can run - it can involve the best music streaming services.
I'm a Spotify user, and while it's a great place for me to catch up on latest music releases and curate my own playlists, there are some handy in-app tools I use to help improve my wellbeing game. Whether that's to accompany me on my workouts, boost mindfulness and relaxation, or help me get a good night's sleep, Spotify has it.
For TechRadar's Wellness Week, I've gathered three of my most-used Spotify features I've integrated into my daily routine to improve not just my physical, but also my mental wellbeing. They're simple, but very effective.
1. Sleep noises playlists
Prior to scouring through Spotify's sleep playlists, I was never a big white noise fan. But after seeing all the different options out there, I've integrated it into my sleep pattern – and there's a lot more to white noise than I thought.
Out of all the white noise playlists in Spotify, it's the Pink Noise one that I've used the most, which packs soft wind sounds that gives the feel of being in a city. Green Noise is another one of my favorite sleep sound playlists which, as its name implies, dives into nature sound from gentle running water to the rustling of leaves.
Since integrating them into my nighttime routines regularly, I've noticed a huge difference in my quality of sleep – and it's a very cost-effective solution.
2. Workout music hub
Like the average runner or gym-goer, I need music to fuel my workouts and give me extra boost. Although I like to curate my own workout playlists, Spotify's workout hub is a helpful place in the app to help build my respective gym and running playlists – like window shopping.
Every now and then I like to see what new songs have been added to Spotify's flagship workout playlists and take inspiration for my own. It's a quick way to bulk up your workout playlists, plus there's a different playlist for every workout vibe, from slow mobility sessions to high-intensity training.
3. Lofi beats are the key to relaxation
Every wanted to feel like you're in a Studio Ghilbi movie? You can, by soundtracking your day with lofi beats in Spotify.
Lofi beats have been a big part of my listening regime since my days at university, when I needed a calm and soothing soundtrack to get me through hours of studying and non-stop reading. This has since translated into an everyday practice for me, be that when I'm working from home, or if I need background noise while I indulge in a good book.
