Why you can trust TechRadar
There's an 8MP camera on the back of the Razr V and a standard VGA camera on the front. While neither of them scream "best in class", they each do a pretty functional job in taking photos.
The options for the rear camera are fairly versatile, with eight different effects on offer, eight different scene modes to choose from and four different shooting modes. There are also options for adjusting exposure manually and controlling the flash.
There's no HDR or Panorama modes in the Razr V, so it's just plain old vanilla mobile photography. The results, as we mentioned, aren't spectacular, but the phone does a decent enough job in full sunlight. As soon as it gets a bit dark though, noise rushes in.
The front facing camera, meanwhile, does a good enough job for video chats. Nothing more. Every photo from the front camera lacks detail and replaces it with noise, so avoid using it at all costs.
