Ebikes have come a long way since they were first introduced to the world, but even today, electric bikes that look and feel premium cost a pretty penny. At least, that was the case until now – thanks to the launch of Desiknio’s X20 range, you can now ride premium urban or gravel ebikes without having to remortgage the house. Don’t just take our word for it; let the specs speak for themselves!

Both the new X20 Pinion – designed for urban environments – and the X20 E-Gravel bikes offer 55Nm of torque from the lightweight Mahle motor (only 1.3 kg) with AMC (automatic motor connection), which eliminates the need for motor cables and allows for a more natural rear wheel position. The internal iX250 battery by Mahle, hiding in plain sight in the down tube, weighs a mere 1.1kg and offers 80km of range on a single charge. This can be nearly doubled by the X20 range extender, which resembles a water bottle both in size and shape, and conveniently fits the threaded inserts on the frame.

Desiknio X20 Pinion – One for the urban explorer

Building on the foundation laid by the X35 range, Desiknio’s X20 Pinion range offers a slew of features for riders who need to get from point A to point B in the city. The ebike is available in Standard and Comfort frame geomerty options, complete with the Mahle X20 Smart bike system, Pinion C1.9XR gearbox providing clean and silent gear transmissions, Gates Carbon drive train, and weighs only 14.5kg – that’s with all trimmings included, such as built-in lights, mudguards and aluminium wheels. The X20 Pinion has sleek black anodised parts, plus black saddles and grips by iconic British manufacturer Brooks.

Desiknio X20 E-Gravel – One for the outdoor adventurer

If you prefer traversing paths less ridden and need a bike that can withstand gravel roads and muddy country lanes, the X20 E-Gravel range is your best option. This lightweight bike weighs only 12 kg and has a full-carbon frame, forks and wheels. Not only that, the X20 E-Gravel is one of the first to use the X20 smart bike system by Mahle, which provides a combination of low-speed torque and a torque sensor to ensure smooth, proportionate power delivery regardless of what type of terrain you’re riding on. Tackling tricky terrain has never been easier!
