Nokia's well-kept secret, the Tube or 5800 XpressMusic phone, will be launched tonight around the world, and sources say it will hit the UK in November.

This means it will be available in time for the pre-Christmas rush and will be competing with the likes of the Samsung Pixon, the LG Renoir and of course the Apple iPhone 3G on PAYG.

TechRadar spoke to mobile network sources, who confirmed discussions are still ongoing to confirm which carriers will be adding their phone to the line-up.

The Tube is set to be unveiled all around the world this evening and questions are already being raised about the OS on the handset, which is a version of the standard Nokia Symbian S60 system.

Many people believe Nokia should have re-hashed the OS for the new phone, especially when it is so clearly geared up to face the iPhone.
