Big-screen TVs are getting cheaper and cheaper these days, especially with well-known brands like TCL bringing high-end tech into mid-range price brackets. Right now, for example, you can get a massive $1,000 discount on the 98-inch TCL QM7L Mini-LED TV over at Best Buy.

Today's price cut brings this 2026 model down from $3,999 to $2,999, which is impressive considering this Mini-LED display manages to pack in some serious features for the price.

We haven't reviewed this model at TechRadar, but we were extremely impressed by the TCL QM7K, which was last year's model. We found the QM7K to offer excellent brightness and contrast for the price, as well as much improved audio versus the previous iteration.

The TCL QM7L looks to be an even bigger improvement on its predecessor, with even better brightness and vibrancy. Other features include Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and two HDMI 2.1 ports with support for a 144Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution — perfect for playing games on its expansive 98-inch display.

TCL 98-inch QM7L Mini LED TV: was $3,999.99 now $2,999.99

A massive $1,000 price cut makes this 98-inch TCL QM7L a great choice if you're on the hunt for a truly big-screen TV. This 2026 model features impressive brightness and plenty of pop thanks to its Mini-LED display, and it also features support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and two HDMI 2.1 ports for 4K gaming. Of course, the main selling point here is this particular TV's massive 98-inch display, which will make it the centerpiece of any room.

The TCL QM7L is a Mini-LED TV that utilizes the brand's Super Quantum Dot (SQD) technology. In layman's terms, blacks don't get quite as inky as they do on a high-end OLED display, but you get really punchy colors and excellent brightness. They're generally a better choice for brighter rooms, although OLEDs still tend to have the edge if you're looking for cinematic color accuracy.

With that said, OLED displays tend to be pretty pricey, and if you want a big-screen TV, then there really is no competition with TCL's Mini LEDs right now in terms of bang for the buck. Regardless of whether you're into movies, shows, or sports, this TCL QM7K is a good choice - if you have the space for a massive 98-inch TV, that is.
