There are quite a few excellent Galaxy Z Fold 8 preorder deals to consider this week, but Samsung's own opening promotion has to be one of the highlights. Right now, for example, Samsung is offering either a trade-in rebate of up to $1,200 off or an upfront discount of $200. That's a surprisingly strong opening offering from the official vendor.
We've seen discounts like these before on occasion, but Samsung often waits for a few months before posting the really juicy deals. It's rare to see the store offer a $200 upfront discount right out of the gates. Both the Fold and the Fold 8 Ultra are premium devices with hefty price tags, so this is a welcome discount indeed.
Another thing that makes this deal stand out is that it's available on both carrier and unlocked devices. Getting an unlocked device in particular is very handy if you want to shop around to find the best carrier — such as a cheaper prepaid option, for example. With Samsung's trade-in rebate or upfront discount, you don't need to be locked in to a lengthy service contract to get a big discount, which is a major selling point.
Preorder a Galaxy Fold 8 or Fold 8 Ultra at Samsung
One thing that's worth checking out while you're at the official Samsung Store is the exclusive Pistachio green and Green Shadow colors. The former is available on the Fold 8, while the latter is available on the Fold Ultra. If I were picking up a device from Samsung, I'd definitely go for the exclusive colors here because I think they add a touch of class to both models. The other colors are a little boring, in my opinion.
Note that devices are available to preorder from Samsung and other vendors right now for an August 7 release date. I'm not sure exactly when the preorders window ends, but it's usually worth going for a preorder when they're available, as the deals are often better than those that are listed after release.
