Olympus E-420 review

It's compact, bijou and oh-so-perfectly formed

TechRadar Verdict

The E-420 can’t compete with Nikon or Canon at the very high end of the ISO spectrum, but most of us choose to shoot at low ISOs whenever possible. Image stabilisation is another omission. If you can live with those two shortcomings, then the E-420 is the perfect travel DSLR.

Small is beautiful, or so it's said. Could this be true of a DSLR that's as small as a large compact?

Well, if you give the Olympus E-420 a chance, not only will you find it astonishing value, but its dinky size means you'll end up taking it everywhere with you.
