Ideal for school, with great usability, stunning screens and a perfect price
In the past year, laptop prices have continued to fall and this is clearly evident at the sub-£299 price point. But despite such affordable prices, these cheap laptops still pack everything you need for home and school use.
While you won't find dual-core processors or high-powered graphics cards, you will find ample power for word processing, browsing the internet and, in some cases, even basic photo and video-editing capabilities, and the great price makes them ideal for GCSE studies.
To help you choose your perfect portable for the new school year, we've brought together four of the best cheap laptops around.
Due to their low prices, these cheap laptop models are likely to sell out quickly, however, so act fast if you want to grab yourself a great bargain.
