A research project is being set up to define whether mobile phones can help to uncover some sociometric truths about human interaction.

By using Bluetooth and mobile phone triangulation, coupled with landline call data and crime and economic information, Prof. Vassilis Kostakos, a visiting fellow at the University of Bath and Assistant Professor at the University of Madeira, believes he can find out some interesting information about human behaviour.
