There are great Black Friday deals on tablets, but not all tablets are created equal. While Amazon has tempting offers on its Fire tablets, I'd strongly recommend buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 instead, and now is a great time to find Samsung's bargain tablet on sale. The 32GB Galaxy Tab A8 has a low price of $149.on Amazon, and the 128GB Galaxy Tab A8 is an all-time low at $199.99

Amazon Fire tablets look great on paper, but they are heavily locked into Amazon's software and services. In fact, even though they run Android, you won't have access to the full Google Play store. There are tons of apps available on Amazon's App Market, but it can't come close to what you'll find if you get a Google-approved tablet like the Galaxy Tab A8.

It helps that Samsung makes great tablets, with solid build and excellent displays. They aren't quite as powerful as an iPad, but you won't find an iPad this cheap. You don't even need to spring for extra storage, since the Galaxy Tab A8 has a microSD card, so you can buy extra memory later if you need it.
