T-Mobile slates Uncarrier 4.0 event for CES 2014

T-Mobile
Is this T-Mobile's final Uncarrier phase?

Just days after its CEO tweet-teased a fourth Uncarrier phase was on the way, T-Mobile has sent invites to a press event at CES 2014.

"This one you aren't gonna believe," read the magenta and black invite.

What's in store for Uncarrier 4.0?

T-Mobile's Uncarrier moves throughout 2013 have been well-documented - from doing-away with annual contracts to offering free, unlimited international data and texts.

How unbelievable are we talking here?

T-Mobile CTO Neville Ray told us in October that more Uncarrier moves were on the way, so today's invites should come as no surprise.

What will be a surprise is what T-Mobile has in store. The most recent inkling is that the carrier plans to offer customers who switch to its network a credit of up to $350.

The new customers will also get a credit for the early termination fee charged by their old carrier, thus eliminating one of the major sticking points (or as T-Mobile likes to call them, pain points) of changing service providers.

We'll be on the ground in Vegas covering T-Mobile's news conference, so stay tuned.
