Best Apple iPhone Black Friday deals

iPhone 15 (128GB)AU$1,499AU$1,299 + cost of phone plan at Amaysim

<a href="https://amaysim.pxf.io/c/338476/1590646/18450?subId1=hawk-custom-tracking&sharedId=hawk&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amaysim.com.au%2Fdevices%2Fphones%2Fapple%2Fiphone-15" data-link-merchant="amaysim.com.au"">iPhone 15 (128GB) | AU$1,499 AU$1,299 + cost of phone plan at Amaysim (save AU$200)

With AU$200 off Apple's latest, this might be the best Cyber Monday offer on the standard iPhone 15. Coming to you via telco Amaysim, you will need to pair the handset with an Amaysim plan for at least 28 days to take advantage of this discount. You can sign up for a 28-day prepaid SIM or a long expiry plan, but the cheapest option is a prepaid SIM for AU$30 – that means you can get the iPhone 15 for a total of AU$1,329 at minimum. Currently available in all colours.

Apple iPhone 13 (512GB) |AU$1,649 AU$1,395.80 on Amazon

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2FApple-iPhone-13-512GB-Midnight%2Fdp%2FB09L7PWCWG%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">Apple iPhone 13 (512GB) | AU$1,649 AU$1,395.80 on Amazon (save AU$253.20)

A couple of generations old but still a great iPhone in its own right is the iPhone 13. And if you're after a handset with a bit of personality, there's a small but decent 15% off the Product Red colourway in the 512GB flavour. It's been this price for a while now, but it's worth considering before the offer disappears.

iPhone 13 (128GB)AU$1,099AU$899 on Amaysim + cost of phone plan

<a href="https://amaysim.pxf.io/c/338476/1590646/18450?subId1=hawk-custom-tracking&sharedId=hawk&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amaysim.com.au%2Fdevices%2Fphones%2Fapple%2Fiphone-13" data-link-merchant="amaysim.com.au"">iPhone 13 (128GB) | AU$1,099 AU$899 on Amaysim + cost of phone plan (save AU$200)

Another great offer on the standard iPhone 13 from Amaysim if you are willing to take on a plan as well. The iPhone 13 is just over two years old now, but it’s still a great iPhone in its own right. Amaysim has slashed AU$200 off the RRP, bringing the iPhone 13 down to just AU$899. Keep in mind that to get it for this price, you’ll need to also buy a 28-day prepaid SIM card or a long expiry plan. The minimum cost for an Amaysim prepaid plan is AU$30, so the minimum you’ll pay is AU$929. Only available in red.

iPhone 14 (128GB)AU$1,299AU$1,099 on Amaysim + cost of phone plan

<a href="https://amaysim.pxf.io/c/338476/1590646/18450?subId1=hawk-custom-tracking&sharedId=hawk&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amaysim.com.au%2Fdevices%2Fphones%2Fapple%2Fiphone-14" data-link-merchant="amaysim.com.au"">iPhone 14 (128GB) | AU$1,299 AU$1,099 on Amaysim + cost of phone plan (save AU$200)

Last year’s iPhone 14 has also gotten a AU$200 discount from Amaysim (it says AU$200 discount, but the original price of the iPhone 14 was AU$1,499). The standard iPhone 14 still comes with a 12MP main and 12MP ultrawide lens, but improvements to the sensors mean it’s slightly better than the iPhone 13’s camera array. To get this deal from Amaysim, you’ll need to also match it with a 28-day prepaid SIM or a long expiry plan. But at a minimum, this phone will cost you AU$1,129. Available in various colours.

iPhone 14 (512GB)AU$1,849AU$1,767 on Amazon

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB0BDHZ9MN3%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">iPhone 14 (512GB) | AU$1,849 AU$1,767 on Amazon (save AU$82)

If you want a decent amount of storage on your iPhone, the iPhone 14 with 512GB of storage is now AU$82 off on Amazon. We did suggest opting for one the 14 Pro deals n Amazon whilst they were live, but now the majority of those have sold out, this is the next best of the bunch.

Apple iPhone 12 (128GB) | AU$1079 AU$824 on Amazon

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB08L89BF1Q%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">Apple iPhone 12 (128GB) | AU$1079 AU$824 on Amazon (save AU$255)

It's rare to get a new iPhone for under AU$1,000, but if you're willing to settle for one that's a few generations behind, this Black Friday deal will get you the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 with 128GB of storage in <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB08L88YSY1%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">black or <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB08L89DDDT%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">white for AU$824. Amazon has the 64GB version in <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB08L89M9VH%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">black for AU$897, but honestly, we reckon it's worth spending the extra to double your storage. If you're worried about longevity, Apple usually supports its iPhones with about 5 years of OS updates, so this should be good through at least 2025.

Apple iPhone 12 mini (256GB)AU$1,249 AU$1,049 on Amazon

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2FApple-iPhone-12-Mini%2Fdp%2FB08MWRCBWP%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">Apple iPhone 12 mini (256GB) | AU$1,249 AU$1,049 on Amazon (save AU$200)

The 12 mini is an older model (released 3 years ago) but Apple generally supports its phones with at least 5 years of OS upgrades, so this one should be covered through to the end of 2025. This is a genuinely compact handset with a 5.4-inch display, and despite its age, it's hardware is still speedy enough to run iOS smoothly.

Do note that this deal is exclusively for Amazon Prime members.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 (256GB) | AU$1,649from AU$1,350 on Amazon

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB0C9ZWBCBD%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 (256GB) | AU$1,649 from AU$1,350 on Amazon (save AU$299)

Samsung's latest flip phone is easily its best yet, serving up a gorgeous design, a hinge that sees both halves of the phone folding flat against one another and powerful innards by way of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. This is a cracking deal on what is a cracking phone, though the price has increased slightly from Black Friday – it was previously a little less at AU$1,347.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (512GB)AU$2,249AU$1,839 on Amazon

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB0BR6F9VMM%2F%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (512GB) | AU$2,249 AU$1,839 on Amazon (save AU$410)

With S Pen for better productivity, a 200MP camera, a drop dead gorgeous display, great battery life and more, you can get the 6.8-inch S23 Ultra in the 512GB storage with AU$410 off in the cream colour only now. We did see this model go for about AU$100 than the price mentioned here on Black Friday, but this is still a decent saving.

Other capacities are also discounted, with <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB0BR6CQLMJ%2F%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">256GB models reduced to AU$1,447 (originally AU$1,949).

If you've been keen on updating to one of the latest Samsung flagships but don't fancy the Ultra, the Plus is a good middle option. Take advantage of this and save AU$351 on the <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB0BR6C3Y98%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">green and <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8428&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com.au%2Fdp%2FB0BR6FH3RC%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-22%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-22" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">cream models via the same listing of the 512GB storage option of the S23 Plus. A great Android phone with some amazing features, including a splendid camera system – this is worth considering.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra offers an incredibly fun flip phone experience that we said will get you "excited about phones again," in <a href="https://www.techradar.com/reviews/motorola-razr-plus" data-link-merchant="techradar.com"" data-link-merchant="Amazon AU"">our review. That's in large part due to the external display offering a unique, interactive experience, along with the fact the internal crease is barely noticeable. Ultimately, it's a device we genuinely believe could (and perhaps should) entice you away from the likes of Apple and Samsung.

The Nothing Phone 2 is unlike most other phones on the market, most notably due to its unique design and light-up Glyphs on the rear. It's not just for show though, as it's a top-performer thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, meaning apps and games load quickly and run smoothly. Black Friday phone deals 2023: FAQs

(Image credit: Future | Alex Walker-Todd)

When will the best Black Friday phone deals start in 2023?

If you need a phone deal for Black Friday, you may not want to wait that long. Samsung, Apple, and now Google have all announced the best phones they'll offer all year. Phone makers and mobile carriers love to offer great deals at launch, so if you have your eye on something brand new, it may be time to buy right away.

As we approach Black Friday however, we do expect mobile carriers and manufacturers to either start deals early, or at least drip feed us information as to what to expect.

Where will the best Black Friday phone deals be?

We'll be rounding up all the best Black Friday phone deals right here on this page, so don't hesitate to bookmark and check in regularly for recommendations. As a quick overview, however, here are the retailers that we're expecting to feature the best phone deals up through Black Friday.

Amazon: hot deals year round set to get even better for Black Friday
eBay Australia: a one stop shop for a lot of hot offers
Kogan: offering sneak peeks at Black Friday deals earlier than most
JB Hi-Fi: gift cards with big-ticket phones, and discounts on others
Optus: trade-in deals and free devices
Telstra: trade-in deals on Australia's largest mobile network provider

What Black Friday phone deals do we expect to see in 2023?

For Black Friday phone deal hunters, there is good news and bad news. The good news is that there are plenty of deals, and almost every phone you can imagine goes on sale somewhere.

But if you're an iPhone fan, the bad news is Apple devices rarely see great discounts, although some mobile carriers do offer deals in return for signing up to a long contract agreement. In fact, the best deals you'll find will likely be part of a contract agreement, but if you were already shopping for service, make the carrier give you a Black Friday phone deal.

Smaller phone makers like Motorola are more likely to offer discounts than Samsung, which just launched a new foldable family, and Apple, which keeps its prices steady. Google has also been known to drop the price on Pixel phones for Black Friday in the past. Third-party retailers will be a good bet too, including The Good Guys and JB Hi-Fi.

Last year’s best Black Friday phone deals

If you want to know what to expect from Black Friday 2023 for phone deals, take a look at the best deals we caught last year for an idea of which phone makers and which mobile carriers offer the best sales.
