HTC Hero comes to Orange's website

Orange UK has blinked first and put the HTC Hero up on its website, although only as a 'coming soon' option.

Unfortunately there's no way to pre-order the phone, although Orange has apparently said that it will release more information in the next few days.

Both Orange and T-Mobile are going to be selling the HTC Hero, although the pink network will be calling it the G1 Touch just to make things confusing, and has yet to list the phone on its site either.

Grey sky thinking

The new phone will be available in just graphite grey, according to the Orange site, although its likely more colours will be available as we saw a variety when we had or recent hands-on with the device.

If you're still hankering for a device, then you can get it as a SIM Free version from Amazon for a shade under £429, or wait to get the thing on contract around mid-July. It's nice to have options, isn't it?

Check it out here on Orange UK's website.

4. Yeh I saw the 500mb plans which is what I would ideally go for, I think that would generally be enough for a months mobile usage personally..

3. So that only needs someone to pick up the Samsung Galaxy and we can all relax, make our decision, and get on with the rest of our lives.

2. Looks good! I moved from O2 to Orange and got the Touch HD, and have never looked back. HTC phones are fantastic, and the Hero looks on par with the HD....personally, I wouldn't get an iphone as I like Windows Mobile. Additionally, if you do change to Orange I would go for the 500MB data allowance as part of your contract else you'll rack up some serious charges! Orange don't do unlimited data bundles like O2 do (unless they've changed policy recently).

1. I have read some websites stating 7th of July and others stating 15th of July, either way its within the next couple of weeks I suspect, Is it worth moving to Orange from O2 for this phone? and NO i don't want an iPhone...
