Prime Day electric toothbrush deals: the best oral care sales still available

This year's edition of Amazon Prime Day has officially come to an end, but that doesn't mean you have to wait until 2024 for a great electric toothbrush deal.

Indeed, a handful of Prime Day electric toothbrush deals are still live in both the US and UK – the best of which we've detailed below – and Amazon is expected to continue offering discounts on a range of tech products in the days following Prime Day itself (which began on July 11 and ran through July 12 this year).

The bulk of the Prime Day electric toothbrush deals are over, though, and we suspect that your next best opportunity to snag a discount on one of the best electric toothbrushes will come during this year's Black Friday deals event, which is set to kick off in late November.

Oral-B iO Series 5: was $219.99 now $139.99 at Amazon
The Oral-B iO5 should offer a fairly solid cleaning performance with 5 smart brush modes and a pressure sensor that help you keep on top of your dental hygiene. Just note that this brush has been $40 cheaper in the past, so unless you are desperate to get it you might want to wait for a better deal or check out a different option this Prime Day.

Oral-B iO Series 9: was $299.99 now $237.99 at Amazon
We gave this toothbrush four-and-a-half stars in our Oral-B iO Series 9 review because it delivers a thorough clean and boasts detailed brushing reports in the app that should help you improve your dental hygiene habits and impress your dentist. The only downside is this deal isn't quite the best we've seen on Amazon, it's previously been $199.99. However, there's no guarantee that price will go up again.

This is a solid mid-range toothbrush that's easy to use and will clean your teeth well, but it lacks the bells and whistles of more expensive versions. This price isn't bad, but we have seen it cheaper in the past, so you might want to wait for Prime Day proper before buying it.

Oral-B Vitality Pro was £49.99 now £24.89 at Amazon
This budget-friendly electric toothbrush is currently £5 more than its best-ever price on Amazon, and while it offers a solid clean it misses out on some features that come with better models (such as a pressure sensor and reminders when you need to change your head). If you can hold out a little longer, we'd suggest waiting for this year's actual Prime Day deals on this one.

In our four-and-a-half-star Oral-B iO Series 6 review we commended the toothbrush for having a really quiet motor, while still offering a great clean boosted by help from the app. It won't just time how long you take and warn you when you're pressing too hard, it'll show you where in your mouth needs more or less attention so that you can remember to keep your whole mouth clean. We have seen it sell for £25 less on Amazon in the past, so a better deal may be on the horizon.

Do I need to get Amazon Prime to get the best electric toothbrush deals?

Yes, to put it bluntly. Amazon loves to run sales events exclusive to Prime members in order to entice people to sign up to its premium service, so some discounts will be hidden from, or inaccessible to, non-Prime members.

Fortunately, it's great value if you're a regular Amazon user, but you can cancel after the event is over if you don't want to pay that $14.99 / £8.99 / AU$9.99 subscription service price. More on that in a minute.

Which electric toothbrush should I buy on Amazon Prime Day?

That's a tough one, and it will all depend on your budget and needs. If you're prepared to spend hundreds of pounds or dollars, you're likely to get a much bigger discount (for example, in the US, you might get a $400 toothbrush marked down to $250) than you would on a cheaper toothbrush, so the more you spend, the more you'll save. An Oral-B iO Series brush, is probably your best best.

However, when it comes to cheaper toothbrushes, you might be able to get brushes like the Colgate Hum or Ordo Sonic+ for half price or more. Don't forget about replacement heads either, as bundle deals will crop up: shop right, and you could get a year's worth of brushing on the cheap.
