PS4 and PS4 Pro Cyber Monday deals 2021: what we expect to see

Tired of being left out in the cold on PS5 availability, or simply after an older console for your gaming collection? In any case, Cyber Monday 2021 could be an ideal time to pick up a PS4 or PS4 Pro, along with some games and accessories, at reasonably discounted prices.

As getting hold of a PS5 still proves to be as difficult as finding a needle in a haystack, you'd think that many retailers would have an interest in shifting PS4 and PS4 Pro stock in order to make some extra profit. However, last year's Cyber Monday proved to be fairly scant in terms of PS4 and PS4 Pro console deals, with stock quickly drying up with most major retailers.

However, there was no shortage of huge savings on the best PS4 games, PS4 headsets and PS4 accessories, which made Cyber Monday, taking place on November 29, a great time to expand your game collection and improve your gaming experience at the same time.

So, can we expect to see more PS4 deals during Cyber Monday 2021? If retailers are paying attention to online search statistics (and they are), then there certainly will be. According to SemRush, the term "PS4" was one of the most widely searched when paired with the "Black Friday" keyword. And while Black Friday takes place a few days earlier, many of those Black Friday PS4 deals will spill over into Cyber Monday, and perhaps get even cheaper by then in some cases.

When will the best PS4 and PS4 Pro Cyber Monday deals start in 2021?

When it comes to PS4 deals, the best are likely to start on November 26, on Black Friday. However, as many retailers like to begin the discount period early, expect to start seeing PS4 and PS4 Pro deals up to a week earlier.

Cyber Monday is a unique beast, though, as you may see some more unique deals for PS4 consoles, games and more crop up on that day specifically.

However, we wouldn't advise strictly waiting for deals on Cyber Monday. Last year, PS4 and PS4 Pro console stock sold out fast across most retailers on the day. If you see a great deal that's to your liking a bit earlier during Black Friday sales, you may be better off pulling the trigger there to stay on the safe side.

Where are the best places to find PS4 and PS4 Pro Cyber Monday 2021 deals?

We'll be constantly tracking the very best deals on PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles, games, accessories and more throughout the Cyber Monday 2021 sales period, so you can be sure we'll know as soon as they go live.

But where should you be looking specifically if you want to get a head start on that PS4 deal you're eyeing up?

In the US, your best bets will be GameStop and Best Buy for deals on PS4 console bundles. In terms of games and accessories, Amazon usually offers a wide range of discounts in this regard.

In the UK, you're best looking towards Game, Argos and potentially John Lewis for PS4 console deals. Amazon UK is also a great place to find a whole bunch of deals on PS4 games and accessories.

What PS4 and PS4 Pro Cyber Monday deals do we expect to see this year?

Last year, UK shoppers were more likely to score deals on PS4 bundles on Cyber Monday. Deals were more scant in the US, where both PS4 and PS4 Pro stock dried up fast at many major retailers. Bundles barely got a look in the US, too, making it especially hard to find a good PS4 or PS4 Pro console deal.

With the PS5 proving to be an elusive beast then and now, we would expect retailers to really push for big deals on PS4 stock. Last year that wasn't really the case, so this year we're expecting similarly slim pickings on console deals, especially for US buyers.

Deals on games, accessories and more likely won't be an issue, though, with Amazon largely holding the fort in this regard. Deals on digital games will also be rampant over Cyber Monday, as Sony is sure to host a massive savings event on the PlayStation Store.

In the meantime, you can check out the current best prices for both the PS4 and PS4 Pro in your region below:

How can I get the best PS4 Cyber Monday 2021 deals on the day?

As we don't expect PS4 and PS4 Pro console deals to be as widespread as we'd like, the best thing you can do is prepare to look through the most ideal retailers in advance, some of which we've listed above.

If gaming isn't your realm of expertise, you may also want to know the difference between PS4 and PS4 Pro. Put simply, the Pro version is a revised, more powerful model released a few years after the base version.

Both PS4 and PS4 Pro play exactly the same games, and there are none that are exclusive to either console. What you're getting on PS4 Pro is a bit of extra functionality like support for 4K resolution, as well as gaming at smoother frame rates.
