The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has three display settings, allowing you to run the phone at either a WQHD+ (2960 x 1440), FHD+ (2220 x 1080) or HD+ (1480 x 730) resolution - and we’ve found the battery life is fantastic if you run it at FHD+.
Our YouTube battery test found the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus had the best flagship battery life compared to every other phone we've tested.
The test takes into account internet browsing, gaming and video playback. When running at FHD+, we found the Galaxy S8 Plus would last for over seven hours.
If you want to run your new S8 Plus at the full WQHD+ resolution you'll still get a solid battery performance, with the phone losing just 11% in our 90 minute HD video test at the highest setting.
You can watch the full video below where we compare the results of the FHD+ Galaxy S8 Plus against a variety of other phones.
