Hailing from the overcast shores of Brighton in the United Kingdom, Jake can be found covering everything from features to guides content around the latest game releases. As seen on NME.com, Eurogamer.net, and VG247.com, Jake specializes in breaking games down into approachable pieces for guides, and providing SEO advice to websites looking to expand their audiences.

Before the glamorous life of games writing, Jake was busy completing a degree in Chemistry at the University of Sheffield. Over those three years, he mostly realized that well, science is really hard, and that he'd much rather run a vintage clothing shop in the Steel City instead. Thankfully, this somehow ended up with video games writing eventually, and Jake continues to publish new articles daily.

In terms of where his love for video games came from, Jake has the PlayStation One to thank. Resident Evil, Max Payne, and Metal Gear Solid, all great games that were experienced far too early for a young developing mind. These days, it's narrative-driven adventures that make Jake tick, as well as anything that involves time-loops, space, and a heavy emphasis on music.
