Apple has released its 3.0 software for download prior to the launch of the new iPhone 3G S on 19 June.

The features of the new software include cut, copy and paste from a block of text, as well as support for multi-media messaging and landscape keyboard text input.

For instance, O2 are charging users £14.68 (for 3GB) or £29.36 (10GB) in order to get mobile data, and the likes of AT&T in the US aren't able to support it at all.
