Motorola’s affordable smartphone - Moto G22 will be on sale for the first time today on Flipkart from 12 noon for Rs 10,999 with the e-commerce platform offering multiple offers and discounts. The smartphone launched a few days back and is the second device to be updated in the G-series this year after the Moto G71.
The Moto G22 comes with the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC clubbed with a 6.5-inch 90Hz HD+ LCD display. The device is available in only one variant with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 1TB via the dedicated microSD slot.
Like many of Motorola’s products, the Moto G22 also runs on stock Android out of the box and users can expect the company to provide the latest software updates in the future.
In terms of design, the smartphone comes with a glossy matte finish. When the back of the smartphone does come in contact with a light source, it appears like the camera module is radiating light from itself.

Moto G22 price and launch offers
The Moto G22 is available in two colour options - Cosmic Black and Iceberg Blue. The smartphone comes only in one variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage and retails for Rs 10,999 on Flipkart.
The company is offering an upfront discount of Rs. 1000 for the first two days of the sale. This discount is available to a limited number of devices only - which the company hasn't specified.
This effectively brings down the price of the Moto G22 to Rs 9,999. These offers are valid until April 14th.
Flipkart Axis Credit Card users get 5% cashback. Users can also choose to get the 2nd generation Google Nest Hub or Google Nest Mini at discounted rates. The former can be purchased at Rs 4,999 thus saving Rs 3,000 on the original price while the Nest Mini would be available for Rs 1,999 after a discount of Rs 2,500.
You can purchase any of these devices at the mentioned discounted rates 10 days after you have received the Moto G22.
Moto G22 specifications
When looking at the specifications in detail, the Moto G22 sports a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 SoC. It comes with only 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on stock Android 12 out of the box with zero ads.
In terms of the camera, the Moto G22 is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and two sensors each of 2 megapixels for depth and macro shots. The front-facing camera on the smartphone is a 16-megapixel shooter.
The power button on the device comes with a fingerprint scanner but also supports face unlock. The smartphone also features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a single speaker on the button alongside the Type-C port that is used for charging.
Speaking of charging, the Moto G22 is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery pack that also gets 20W fast charging out of the box with the company claiming a usage time of up to 37 hours.
The connectivity features include Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi support and also has with a dual-sim and dedicated microSD card slot. The Moto G22 does not support any 5G bands.
