Authentic drone-flying, without the risk of expensive crashes

Real Drone Simulator

The holidays are an expensive time, so we’re bringing you a special treat: a full, free, fun Windows program to download every day until Christmas.

The first surprise in our free software advent calendar is Real Drone Simulator (RDS) – a brilliant sim that uses realistic landscapes and physics to create an authentic flying experience. RDS is available to download free as a pre-release alpha, and it’s brilliant fun.

If you’re thinking about buying a drone (or have one on your Christmas wishlist), RDS is an ideal way to master the basics of handling it without the risk of crashing. You can control your drone with a compatible RC remote control (if you have one), a PC controller, or your trusty keyboard and mouse combo.

Realistic flight

As the name suggests, RDS is dedicated to creating a realistic experience. It already features actual drone models from manufacturers EMAX and JJRC, and its developers will soon be contacting all the major companies to arrange official licensing of their drones.

Other plans in the pipeline include split-screen multiplayer, aerial filming, and even international championships.
