Meet the Lenovo P2, the phone claiming a three day battery

Good spec, great battery

Does your phone often die before you get to the end of the day? The Lenovo P2 claims to solve that problem and may even last you three days on a single charge.

It features a huge 5,100mAh battery as well as fast-charging features. There's also a physical power saving switch on the side of the phone that will power down the phone to its most basic functions when you flick it.

Whether the phone actually offers three days of battery is unclear, but with a cell that large it does suggest the P2 will last longer than many other mainstream phones.

Longer charge

The extended battery doesn’t make for a massive phone either as it’s only 8.5mm thick - considering the iPhone 7 is 7.1mm, that’s not too much more for the extra battery.

The P2 also comes with a 5.5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, a full-metal unibody design, 13MP camera, 5MP selfie shooter and 32GB of on board storage.

There’s also a headphone jack, Android 6 Marshmallow software and the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor we’ve seen in the Asus Zenfone 3, Huawei Nova and the Moto Z Play.

The P2 is out on January 16 from Three in the UK. Although the Lenovo P2 puts a big focus on its battery life, it’s not currently clear if it’ll live up to expectations.

We hope to put it to the test very soon in our own review, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
