Incogni is a fairly new addition to the data removal scene, set up by Surfshark in 2021 before forging its own path as one of the best data removal services in just a few short years. Incogni uses privacy laws such as CCPA and GDPR to help track down your data on the internet and remove it from data brokers and people search finders. That means it’s definitely worth considering even if you live outside of the US. It also offers a generous family plan. It also doesn’t gate the number of data brokers behind its tiered payment structure.
Plans & Pricing:
Incogni does not offer a free plan and uses a tiered pricing structure similar to other data removal services. The Standard plan is $15.98 per month, but you can cut that price in half by opting to pay yearly ($95.88). The Standard tier covers 420+ data broker sites, performs recurring removals, and allows you to scan for multiple emails, addresses & phone numbers (something Optery restricts to its upper tiers).

Kanary Copilot is a free app from the Kanary team. As for coverage, Kanary covers 300+ data brokers and people search sites. Kanary also offers great transparency into the data removal process on the mobile app.

Kanary offers a free tier that provides users with a data exposure scan and three automated removals. After this however, you will need to pay for a premium subscription.

How Kanary performs really depends on your use case. For example, PrivacyBee has a significantly expanded coverage of over 1000 data brokers and people search sites. However, this expanded coverage is locked behind the Pro and Signature tiers, which are much more expensive than the Essentials plan - so the value of this service really depends on your needs.

PrivacyBee does not offer a free plan, and there is no option to pay on a rolling monthly basis. Instead, you’ll have to pay the full year upfront. The pricing starts fairly reasonably at $96 per year for the Essentials plan, which converts to $8 per month. Overview:
DeleteMe has been in the data removal game since 2011, and in that time has become one of the most well known data removal services. Their broker coverage is one of the biggest with the DeleteMe advertising removals from over 850 data brokers and people search sites, but many of these are gated behind, or exclusive to the higher tier plans. There also isn’t a monthly subscription option, as all plans are paid per year.
Plans & Pricing:
From the DeleteMe website you would be forgiven for struggling to find a detailed layout for each of the paid plan options. The website only displays the pricing for the Standard plan, which only provides automated removal from 86 data broker sites, and has a custom removal cap of 40 requests. For individuals, the Standard plan is $103.20, for couples it is $206.40, and the family plan that covers 4 adults is $412.80.
If you want greater broker coverage and additional custom removals, you will have to upgrade to the Premium plan, which costs $180 per year, and doesn’t offer discounts for couples and families. This tier performs automated removals from 101 data brokers, and ups your custom request limit to 60. There are also additional savings for purchasing a two year Standard or Premium plan.
Features & Performance
The reality of DeleteMe is that the actual coverage you get is not across 850 brokers or people search sites. You either get automated removal from 86 or 101, and then you have to use your custom requests to cover the other 500+ (but you only get 40 or 60 requests per year). The rest of the brokers are reserved for the business and VIP plans.
What DeleteMe does exceptionally well is the reports provided quarterly or bi-monthly, depending on your plan. The breakdown of the data removal services is highly granular and provides excellent detail into where your data was found and how it was removed from the site.
Verdict:
Overall, DeleteMe is fairly expensive when compared to competing data removal services that offer far greater broker coverage and unlimited custom removals at a fairer price. There are free trials available on some of the services, which are worth checking out to get a sense of how much data is out there. Sadly, a lot of the services limit the free trial to discovery, rather than removal, meaning you have to pay to get results.
