The Realme GT 2 goes on sale for the first time today on Flipkart from 12 noon starting at a price of Rs 34,999. The smartphone comes with the same Paper Tech back as its bigger version, the Realme GT 2 Pro.
While the specifications of the device were already unveiled during the launch event of the Realme GT 2 Pro, the GT 2 did not have any launch or sale date announced until recently. The smartphone comes with a flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset and sports a 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display. Apart from these differentiating features, the GT 2 provides a very similar experience to the flagship device with the Pro moniker.

Realme GT 2 first sale offers and availability
The Realme GT 2 is available in Paper Green, Paper White and Steel Black and is officially priced at Rs 34,999. The smartphone is available for purchase on the company’s online store and Flipkart.
If you do decide to purchase the device from the e-commerce platform, the company is offering an additional Rs 5,000 discount for HDFC Credit and Debit cardholders which brings down the price of the device to Rs 29,999. Flipkart Axis Bank credit card users get an additional 5% cashback too.
There are also other discounts and cashback offers clubbed when you purchase the device on Flipkart. Axis Bank credit card users will get a 10% discount of up to Rs 750 if they opt-in for a non-EMI transaction. Kotak credit card and RBL Bank cardholders as well get a 10% discount of up to Rs 1,250.
Additionally, when purchasing the device you will receive discount coupons to purchase the Google Nest Hub, Nest Mini and the Pixel Buds after 7 days after delivery of the smartphone.
Realme GT 2 specifications
The Realme GT 2 sports last year’s flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood and is available in two variants with 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 12GB RAM/256GB storage options.
The smartphone comes with a 6.62-inch 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and has up to a 1000Hz touch sampling rate. It also has a max brightness of 1300 nits and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut accuracy.
The smartphone looks identical to the GT 2 Pro, apart from the slightly smaller display and a more spread out camera module at the rear. The camera on the GT 2 consists of a 50MP primary lens with a Sony IMX776 sensor and OIS, a secondary 119-degree ultrawide lens and a third 4cm macro lens. For selfie enthusiasts, the device comes with a 16MP camera.
Other features include Bluetooth 5.2, support for dual-band Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi 6 as well as up to 10 5G bands. The smartphone comes with a dual 5G sim slot but does not provide expandable memory.
The Realme GT 2 runs on the latest Realme UI 3 based on Android 12 and is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery pack which supports 65W SuperDart fast charging.
