The Sony Ericsson Satio has finally been released to the UK market, bringing with it the most technology the brand has ever packed into one device.

Sony Ericsson has finalised the launch name (Satio) and date (October) for its flagship 12MP touchscreen cameraphone codenamed Idou, announced at Mobile World Congress.

A Sony Ericsson rep has let slip via Twitter that the company is expecting to release not only the new Xperia X2 handset in the coming months, but the X5 following shortly after.

Sony Ericsson has unsurprisingly posted some grim financial results for Q1 2009 and has decided to shed more staff as a result.
