Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series has played an instrumental role in defining the budget smartphone segment of India. Single-handedly outselling many other brands, its importance can not be undermined. The Redmi Note 10 series will make its global debut in India on March 4, 2021.

Last year, the Redmi Note 9 Pro series also made its global debut in India in March 2020. Xiaomi has sold over 200 million Redmi Note series devices globally to date. In India, the Redmi Note series has dominated the sub Rs 15,000 and the sub Rs 20,000 segment.

Earlier leaks pointed towards 5G models in the Redmi Note 10 series. However, the Realme Note 10 series teasers never mentioned about 5G network support. All the series of teasers confirmed was the Snapdragon chipsets across the series. So, for now, it is safe to assume the company will launch three devices Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and the Note 10 Pro Max. which will be the respective successors to the Redmi Note 9 series.

This piece is completely based on the leaks, rumours, and official teasers that's been building up the launch for the past few weeks. Also, for no, it is also safe to assume the Redmi Note 10 series will have three devices - Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and the vanilla Redmi Note 10.

Release date and price

The Redmi Note 10 series will make its global debut in India on March 4. We expect multiple smartphones in the Redmi Note 10 series to launch in India, populating the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 price band.

Soon after the launch, the company is also expected to launch a couple of flagship phones that will have Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 870 processor. This might be the Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Lite.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max specs (expected)

Xiaomi has already confirmed the presence of an AMOLED display and a high refresh rate panel. So, the top of the line Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is expected to pack in a 120Hz AMOLED display. Just like the display segment, the Redmi Note 10 series is also confirmed to pack in a 108MP camera setup which means the top of the line Redmi Note 10 Pro Max will house a 108MP main camera. The Redmi Note 10 Pro Max might also undercut the Xiaomi Mi 10i as the cheapest phone with a 108MP camera.

The rear camera is also confirmed to sport a 5MP super macro sensor with 2x zoom. The other two are expected to be ultra-wide and a depth sensor. In terms of performance, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset for sure, but the exact process is still a mystery. Since, it is likely to be a 4G chipset, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max could be powered by the Snapdragon 732G or the 730G processor.

The device is tipped to come in two configurations 6+128GB and 8+128GB. Colour options include Black, Bronze and Blue. A large 33W fast charger in the box is also expected.  Amongst other features, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is expected to come with dual stereo speakers, IP52 rating, Gorilla Glass protection on the front, and an all-new EVOL design. Th headphone jack and IR blaster are expected to be retained as well.

Redmi Note 10 Pro specs (expected)

Just like how the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T are differentiated with the primary camera, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is said to come with a 64MP primary instead of a 108MP camera on the Note 10 Pro Max. The rest of the specs might remain the same as what we've seen on the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max.

Having said that, Xiaomi could also drop the high refresh rate to keep the cost under control. The Redmi Note 10 Pro will also have an IP52 rating, Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and will be powered by a Snapdragon processor. The Redmi Note 10 Pro is said to come in three configurations - 6+64GB, 6+128GB, and 8+128GB RAM

Redmi Note 10 specs (expected)

The Redmi Note series started off with just the vanilla Note device and today, we have the elder siblings Pro and Pro Max to take care of the sub Rs 15,000 and sub Rs 20,000 market respectively. The vanilla Redmi Note 10 will be the successor to the Redmi Note 10. The specs of the device have been leaked completely ahead of the launch and here is what it offers.

The Redmi Note 10 is said to come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display and misses out on a high refresh rate. The device is said to be powered by a new Snapdragon 678 chipset. If this turns out to be true, this will be the first phone to do so. In the camera department, the handset will feature a 48MP quad-camera while the selfies will be handled by a 13MP camera.

Further, the device is said to sport a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, which will be an upgrade from 18W charging on the Redmi Note 9. Other features expected include Type-C port, IR Blaster, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual speakers, side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device is expected to come in at least two variants - 4+64GB and 6+64GB.
