Windows 7 E dumped for browser ballot

Windows 7
Microsoft will now include a ballot screen to allow you to choose which browser you want to use in Windows 7

Microsoft has performed a U-turn and dumped Windows 7 E, the Europe-only Internet Explorer-free version of Windows 7.

The reason? Microsoft didn't receive too positive a response from the European Commission to Windows 7 E. Instead, the corporation is proposing to the EC that the browser ballot screen will appear on copies of Windows 7 when people launch Internet Explorer for the first time in Europe.
