The best WordPress contact form plugins make it simple and easy to set up a contact form on your WordPress website, to allow for site visitors to email you.
Contact forms are especially useful, because simply adding an email address to your website invites it to be harvested by bots, resulting in your email address being bombarded with spam. A contact form avoids this problem by creating a more controlled way for human users to email you while avoiding the worst of the bots.
Additionally, the best WordPress contact form plugins will also have anti-spam features built in to prevent other bots from using your forms automatically. The plugin should be easy to set up and install, without introducing security problems to your WordPress install.

A contact page is just one kind of form, and like the others on this list, Everest offers a wide variety of form creation. The plugin allows you to create an unlimited number of forms on your site, with drag and drop fields you can rearrange with ease. These forms are fully compatible with mobile use, allow you to customize the success message, and offer options on how to redirect the viewer once they’ve submitted their message. The fact that this is all offered free is why Everest is one of the best WordPress contact form plugins on the market.
There is of course a paid version which includes multiple premium addons such as allowing you to directly add a subscriber to your ConvertKit account, or one that allows you to collect payment for donations via PayPal, or the Style Customizer which lets you to extensively customize panels with live previews, among others.
As of this writing, Everest Form have a promotion and you can get the premium plugin at a discount. It comes in multiple plans. The more you pay, the more add-ons you get.
The lowest price for personal use starts at around $50 / £45 / AU$75.

Gravity Forms is a very popular plugin and it’s not hard to see why it features in our list of best WordPress contact form plugins. It comes with multiple templates you can use - taking this beyond just a simple contact form. One of the features we really liked that the conditional logic, making sections of the form appear or disappear, depending on the viewer’s prior selection, which leads us to another feature: the ability to add radio buttons and dropdown menus to create a much cleaner, and simpler looking form.
Unlike Everest, there’s no free option. It offers three pricing plans, starting with Basic for which lets you install the plugin on one site and gives you access to its Basic Add-ons. This plan cost around $60 / £55 / AU$90. Pro ups the number of sites to 3 and includes its Pro Add-Ons. And finally, Elite grants you access to all its add-ons, and foregoes any site limit.

Kali Forms feels great for beginners and its pricing structure reflects this. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come with many options - on the contrary, you can make use of templates, create multiple-page forms, and even includes Conditional Logic.
If you’re not open to any of this but are just on the lookout for a simple contact form plugin, Kali does offer a Free Plan but your options are unsurprisingly quite limited. For instance, you can only add it to a single site, and although it allows you to take payment for something you sell (via PayPal), it limits your e-commerce to a single product.
If you need more power, you’ll have to grab yourself a subscription. The cheapest is Starter and is limited to a single site, but your design options are greatly expanded. Freelander allows you to use the plugin on up to 3 sites and includes Hubspot and Google Analytics integration which aren’t available with Starter.
Next is Small Business, which lets you install the plugin on up to 15 sites, and includes useful features such as SMS Notification. And finally, there’s Agency, which removes all limits.
Ninja Forms is a very versatile and feature-rich contact form plugin. Like most of the others, it can help you to create more than just contact forms, such as subscriptions and surveys. There’s also a lot of customization available but all done in an easy way so as not to overwhelm people with no experience. You have the ability to automatically add an email address to a MailChimp list for instance, or set up the form to email both the sender and yourself when a message was successfully sent.
There are multiple plans available for Ninja Forms, and as you’d expect the more you pay, the more features you get. Even then, the cheapest plans do have all the essential features you’d need to create nice-looking, thorough forms, including conditional logic and file uploads.
WPForms works with a drag and drop interface, making it easy to design the form you need for your site. You can create one quickly thanks to its included templates, or start from scratch if you prefer. The forms are guaranteed to be fully mobile responsive, and, like the others on this list, you can use them to collect payments and donations via PayPal should you need to.
Like all of the best WordPress contact form plugins, there are multiple subscription plans available, though unlike other options on this list WPForms offers no free version. Its initial tier (named Basic) should give you enough to get you started, though you'll need to upgrade to at least the Plus tier in order to use the forms on more than one site.
For payment integration with the likes of PayPal and Stripe, and over 400 form templates, you'll need to shell out on the more expensive plans.

What is a WordPress contact form plugin?
For those of you who use the plugin-rich environment of WordPress to share your website with the world, then the ability to implement a contact form will allow you to open up lines of communication with your audience.
Whether your website is a personal showcase of your skills and passions or is being used to advertise a business or service, a WordPress contact form plugin will allow you to safely install a variety of features - including forms, surveys, and subscriptions - that will give your website visitors the chance to reach you directly with their queries, requests, and feedback.
How to choose the best WordPress contact form plugin for you
To ensure you choose the right contact form plugin for your website, first consider what you intend to use it for. Will you be intending on receiving feedback or reviews from your customers for a product or service you sell? Will you be wanting customers to be able to sign up for a recurring subscription product? Or will you simply want to provide a way for visitors to reach you without the need to put your email address in the public domain?
Once you have an idea of how you intend to use the contact form, the other consideration is, of course, the cost. You should have no problem finding a contact form plugin that fits your budget, given that those listed above start from plugins costing nothing at all, to those requiring an annual license payment.
