What that something is it didn’t say, but the company confirmed that the device will be running the Snapdragon 821 processor, clocked at 2.35GHz, which is a slight boost on the 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 at the heart of the OnePlus 3. It’s no surprise, as Qualcomm let slip the same information (minus a release date) a couple of days ago.
While OnePlus isn’t yet naming what it’s got planned, it’s pretty clear that it’s the OnePlus 3T, as that’s the only rumored OnePlus device on the immediate horizon and it’s been heavily tipped to sport a Snapdragon 821 processor, along with an LCD screen, in place of the AMOLED one used by the OnePlus 3.

Everything else is likely to be similar, so this isn’t a phone to buy if you already have a OnePlus 3, as the improvements sound minor. But if you have your eye on a OnePlus 3 it’s definitely worth waiting until November 15 and possibly picking the 3T up instead.
The Twitter teaser, which includes the text ‘T-7’ – possibly as a hint at the ‘T’ in the name, states that the announcement will be made at 1pm EST on November 15. That’s 10am PST, 6pm in the UK and 5am November 16 in Sydney.
