Financial services provider Tabby has announced that it is launching their Tabby card in the UAE in partnership with Visa and M2P Fintech.

The new service aims to provide shoppers with a new hassle-free method to make payments easier and will be available for free for Tabby's customers to add to their digital wallets. It works by just tapping the payment terminal at checkout and splits payments on installments.

Following the launch of QR code payments in-store solution for omni-channel shopping experience, Tabby is building upon that success with the launch of the Tabby card that would provide additional methods to pay.

The Tabby app has expanded to include 1.5 million active users in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and the app provides more financial flexibility to the users by allowing them to split payments over four interest-free payments. This makes it easier for shoppers to afford items that would otherwise put a large dent into their bank accounts.

Tabby card availability and launch

The launch of this card is following the successful launch of their cashback program and receiving a series B find round at 154$ million.Currently, Tabby service is available as an invite-only basis though one can also join a whitelist to get early access when it is officially launched.

There have been quite a few financial services to enter the market in the Middle East with countries like UAE and Saudi Arabia leading the region for startups. In the long run, this will be beneficial to the end-user.
