Red Dead Redemption 2 cheats: codes for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and more
Red Dead Redemption 2 cheats galore
On the trail for Red Dead Redemption 2 cheats? Arthur's journey through the wild west isn't always easy, but that's all the more reason to spice things up.
Compared to GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 does things a little differently with its cheats, keeping their wacky factor dialed down, but certainly producing no less fun.
Some cheats will require you to use a newspaper to unlock, but there are some cheats you can use any time you'd like, all of which remain the same across the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. So whether you want to gear up with infinite ammo, spawn in a circus wagon, or just replace your beloved horse that went to live on the farm with your aunt after your last gunfight, we've got you covered.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Cheats
How to enter and unlock cheats in Red Dead Redemption 2
Inputting cheats is the same on every platform, which keeps things nice and simple.
- First, pause the game to get to your menu.
- Choose the settings tab.
- In the bottom right you'll see a prompt to input a cheat, so hit the appropriate key to open it.
- If you haven't put in cheats before you'll get an empty list, but you can hit the same key again to type in one.
- From there you'll be able to turn them on or off when you want them.
Be forewarned, as is often the case: using cheats prevents you from saving, or earning Achievements/Trophies.
You'll also need to purchase a newspaper for some of the cheats. You'll find each newspaper for sale in two different locations:
- The Blackwater Ledger is available in Blackwater and Strawberry
- The New Hanover Gazette is available in Annesburg and Valentine
- The Saint Denis Times is available in Saint Denis and Rhodes
