Go big screen or go home on Prime Day with a Full HD projector for under £400

There’s something special about big screen TVs - they’re sleek, they make a great living room focal point, and they allow you to show guests that you can afford a really big TV.

For a truly great home cinema experience, though, you should absolutely consider a projector. Projectors are easier than ever to set up in your home. Believe it or not, you could end up with a bigger screen and great resolution for less than you were thinking about paying for that mammoth TV. And they're often more portable to boot.

Take, for example, the Optoma HD142X which you can pick up for just £375 this Amazon Prime Day. Usually you’d pay £464 but for a limited time today it’s been discounted by 32% from the RRP.

Offering full a 1080p resolution, 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, 23,000:1 high contrast ratio and built-in 10-watt speakers it’s a high quality projector at a reasonable price point.

It also has a gaming mode with low input latency for fast response times. Input-wise you’re looking at 2 x HDMI (1.4a 3D support) + MHL v1.2, which means it’s perfect for connecting to your gaming console, Blu-ray player, or maybe even your Chromecast.

You need to be a Prime member to take advantage of these and other deals, and if you're not signed up you can get a free trial today.

Something worth bearing in mind before you invest in a projector, however, is that the lamp will eventually need replaced.

The length of time you get out of a lamp depends on how much you use the projector but after a few years you should be aware that there’s a likelihood you’ll have to drop some more money on another bulb.

As it's a Lightning Deal, you'll have to act fast. It's only available from now until 8pm or stock runs out.
