The main rival to the Apple App store embraces open source polices

Android Market
Currently a pale imitation of Apple's offering, but it doesn't restrict what developers can do

TechRadar Verdict

It's a shame that the Android Market is yet to take off as the open source nature promises to be a big rival for the Apple app store but as it is it's just not as good

Pros

  • +

    Open source

  • +

    24 hour money back option

Cons

  • -

    Currencies not localised

  • -

Not as polished as the App Store
