EA's Senior European Vice President has told Official Xbox Magazine that he feels that the company has 'maxed out' on the Xbox, but is yet to realise the true power of the PlayStation 3.
In an interesting interview, Patrick Soderlund tells OXM that he was pleased to see the arrival of Project Natal from Microsoft at E3, but had some words of caution for Xbox.
"Sony has a lot of good games this year. If you go to their booth, there's a very consistent, high quality product line-up and that will help them," said Soderlund.
Maxed out
"I do think that we'll see developers inside the organisation getting to understand the PS3 better and I think that we're getting more power out of PS3 right now...
"I think that we've maxed out the 360 but we haven't maxed out the PS3."
The quote will no doubt be welcomed by Sony, a company that has been keen to push the message that the PS3 is the more powerful machine in the latest generation of consoles.
But Soderlund, despite his thoughts about the power of the PlayStation, still favours the Xbox.
"It's my personal favourite console," he adds. "I think Microsoft is on a roll right now. They're doing really well. If I was Sony, I would have a headache, to be honest."

4. I seriously don't understand why devs make these claims. I guess the PS2 was maxxed out in year 1 if you go by what some said. I own both consoles, I prefer the 360, but if the Wii has taught us one thing, you don't need millions of polygons to be successful. EA needs to concentrate on making good games with the hardware they have or just make games exclusive to the PS3 if it's so much more powerful.

2. The original crysis will not be however the developers have stated that crysis 2 will be on both pc and xbox360/ps3, however they did say that because of the pc's superior power the console versions will be 'downgraded' graphicall in order to run smoothly, they also said that both 360 and ps3 versions would look much the same but that some things would look better than others on each system
(for example better textures on 360 better particle effects on ps3, just an example i obviously don't know what will look better on each)

1. I hope they manage to "max out" PS3 games in the future, cos those would look stunning. I wonder if Crysis could be ported onto PS3?
