Why we like it
In my experience, 14-inch laptops are the sweet spot for business users - easy to carry without sacrificing screen space. And they don't get much sweeter than the Apple MacBook Pro. Alright, the design hasn't changed much, but it works so well and the build quality here impressed us during our review.
Performance felt responsive during our tests as we darted from browser tab to app window to video streaming to AI image generation. General content creation use performed well here too, although the more powerful M5 Pro and M5 Max models inevitably bested it in benchmarking.
One major highlight here is the Liquid Retina XDR display, which we called "one of the best screens you can find in a laptop." It's stunning, with its 3024 x 1964 resolution and high 254 pixel density delivering images that looked consistently sharp and detailed.
